On Wednesday, November 6, South Africa gathered for the memorial of a final year student of uMfolozi TVET College province of Kwa Zulu - Natal who was studying civil engineering and was shot dead by armed robbers.
On Friday the students that were on their way to campus discovered the lifeless body in the bushes with a gunshot in his lower abdomen.
The police tried to scrutinize the scene but all effort were rendered clueless. Mbongeni’s whereabouts were unknown.
The incident sent shock all over the rental apartment, asking questions about the safety of students living in rental cottages outside the campus.
