Manchester City skipper and Belgium International, Kevin de Bruyne
has been named the Premier League Player of the Season. He pipped Jordan
Henderson, Sadio Mane and Trent Arnold to win the prestigious accolade.
De Bruyne enjoyed a stellar season that saw him bag 13 goals while
assisting 20 in 35 appearances. He was at the heart of City’s midfield in the
19/20 season. He created 104 chances in open play, the most for a player in any
of Europe’s top five leagues since 06/07 season, according to OptaJoe stats.
De Bruyne is being regarded as one of the most complete midfielder
of his generation.
