Matthijs de Ligt facing 3 months on the sidelines

Dutch international, de Ligt, has undergone successful shoulder surgery in Rome but is not likely he would play for Juventus again until November.

De Ligt made 39 appearances in all competitions in his first season for Juventus since joining from Ajax for an initial fee of 75m euros last summer.

The center back has had persistent problems with his right shoulder after suffering a dislocation last year. His club, Juventus, confirmed on Wednesday that he had stabilization surgery in Rome and the operation was a complete success.

He is not likely to be fully fit to return to action until November.
