Lyon sporting director Juninho has said there has been no offer
for Memphis Depay. Depay has been recently linked to a transfer away from Lyon
with Barcelona being the front runner to sign the Dutch international.
When asked after Lyon’s game against Montpellier on Tuesday, the
sporting director confirmed that the club has received no offers from any team
as regards to the transfer of Memphis Depay.
“We have not received anything from Barcelona. Not even a call to
ask for the price for Memphis. What I have understood is that if he stays, he
will be happy to help us to have a good season. The players who received offers
have already left,” Juninho told Telefoot.
In the other news, Lyon’s president also tweeted about the
conversation he had with Josep Bartomeu, the club president of Barcelona,
stating that Barcelona doesn’t have the funds to sign the Dutch man.
