With the controversy surrounding one of the greatest player to grace the sport of football, the three-time Grand Slam champion and former world no. 1, Andy Murray, has had his own say concerning where Lionel Messi should play his football next season.

 

Speaking to the media after his loss in the last-16 tie against Milos Raonic at the Western and Southern Open, he predicted the future of Messi, “I would like to see him play in the Premier League. To be honest, I don’t really care who he plays for.”

“I follow Arsenal but not thinking he’s going to be joining them. But yeah, I would like to see him come to the Premier League.”

 

Murray said he watched Messi a bit when he was much younger and believes he could do it on acold night in Stoke because he is the best player ever.




 

Messi came through the ranks at Camp Nou having joined the famous La Masia academy and has won 34 major trophies and a record six Balon d’Or award and other individual accolades. Few European teams have already be linked with the Argentine but it remains to be see where he is headed to should he leave Barcelona.
