Nico Hulkenberg keeps F1 place as Sergio Perez tests positive again

Racing Point Sergio Perez has been ruled out of 70th anniversary Grand Prix at Silverstone after testing positive for coronavirus AGAIN.

Despite being given green light by the Public Health England to return to the race track on Thursday, the Mexican has been ruled out after returning a positive COVID-19 test result. 

Ahead of today’s practice, Racing point team confirmed his latest test. The 30 year old will be replaced again by his German colleague, Nico Hulkenberg. Nico replacedPerez last weekend in the British Grand Prix and qualified 13th. He has stated he is excited to get going again with the team at Silverstone.

Racing Point team principal, Otmar Szafnauer, also added: “We miss having Checo with us, but we wish him well and look forward to welcoming him back into the team in the near future.”
