The 32 year old has moved on a free transfer and signed a three
year deal. His arrival was confirmed on the club’s Twitter account on Friday
morning and he was handed the no. 12 shirt.
In his remark he said, “I like the way they play, everything is
amazing – the stadium, and I think that with Arteta, Arsenal have a great
opportunity to fight again for titles in the Premier League and in Europe so I’m
very happy because of that.
Willian also revealed that a conversation with Mikel Arteta
persuaded him to join the club and wants to help them improve on their
disappointing season.
He will be on a pay cheque of 220k pounds per week, which will
amount to 35m pounds over the course of his three year contract.
