The executive governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, has flagged off
the remodeling of the Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan. In his address, Makinde
explained that the total contract sum for the project will cost five hundred
billion, five hundred and eighty million, one thousand one hundred and fifty
one naira, sixty two kobo (N500,580, 001,151.62)
He also hinted that the project will be funded through the
Alternate Project Funding Approach and will be completed in 18 months.
Also in attendance were top government officials, the State Commissioner
for Youth and Sports, Seun Fakorede, Management of Lekan Salami Stadium amongst
others.
