The management of Rangers
International of Enugwu has announced the postponement of the club’s resumption
date which it previously gave its players ahead of the 20/21 NPFL season.
“We are a law-abiding institution
and will in no way flaunt laws put in place by a well constituted government
body like NCDC and PTF. The earlier information at our disposal made us make
our earlier announcement for our players to return but with further
clarifications from MCDC and PTF, we are compelled to direct our players against
returning to the players’ camp. When we get clearance, they will be informed of
when to return,” a statement from the
club’s CEO read.
The management held a brief meeting
on Monday where they came to the new agreement citing concerns about COVID-19
health protocols made by NCDC and the PTF.
