Barcelona have agreed a 28m pounds
deal for Netherlands and Lyon skipper Memphis Depay. The head coach of the
Catalan side has been keen to reunite with the 26-year old who he previously
managed in the Dutch national team and all pointers assert that it is a done
deal.
Depay joined Lyon in the winter of January
2017 after a woeful spell at Manchester United which saw him score seven goals
in over 50 appearances for the Red Devils. Since joining the Ligue 1 side in
2017, he has so much improved and has shown much maturity scoring 57 goals so
far for Lyon in 140 appearances.
The Dutch man had a great start to
the 20/21 league season as he bagged a hat trick in their opening Ligue 1 match
win over Dijon.
He would be keen to relish playing
alongside Lionel Messi.
