Napoli head coach, Gennaro Gattuso
is assured that Kalidou Koulibaly is still part of the project at Naples if the
club coming for him doesn’t meet Napoli’s asking price. The Senegalese has been
linked with top clubs around Europe with Manchester City emerging as front
runners.
“Koulibaly has a precise asking
price and if the club doesn’t get the money it is asking for, then he won’t
leave,” Gattuso said. His comments came after the club president, Aurelio De Laurentiis
stated that Arkadiusz Milik and Kalidou Koulibaly could be on their way out if transfer
market permits.
“Koulibaly and Milik are both on
their way out, transfer market permitting. So, if the transfer market allows us
to sell these two excellent players, we will know how to replace them. If not,
then we will discuss it again next year,” De Laurentiis said.
The 29-year old Senegalese
international made 34 appearances for Napoli last term.
