Hamilton hails incredible Osaka

Lewis Hamilton has nothing but praise for Naomi Osaka for being an inspiration in her anti-racism fight after his victory in the Tuscan Grand Prix. Before and after the race, Hamilton was donning a shirt that read “Arrest the cops who killed Breonna Taylor” – a nurse who was shot and killed in her own home by three police officers in the US in March.

Hamilton who wore his shirt paid tribute to Osaka on top of the podium after he came out victorious in the race.

“We have to continue to raise awareness with it and Naomi has been doing amazing, so huge congratulations to her. I think she is an incredible inspiration with what she has done with her platform. I think we just have to continue to push on the issue,” Hamilton said.

Hamilton also commented on the race which he described as “physically and mentally one of the most challenging days” he has experienced.

Osaka won the 2020 US Open WTA after fighting back from a set down to win Victoria Azarenka.
