A new Chief Executive Officer for
the Nigeria National League has been
appointed in the person of Sajo Dandida Mohammed. The NNL has been operating
without a CEO for the past three seasons since the resignation of Bukola
Olapade.
Senator Obinna Ogba, the Chairman
of the league said Sajo would resume his assignments with immediate effect.
“Nature you know abhors vacuum. We have
to hit the ground running, we want to cover fresh milestones. The position of a
Chief Executive Officer is a necessary one that will help us galvanize the
league more and reach expected heights,” Ogba said.
Sajo Mohammed will be responsible
for executing the objectives of the NNL, providing direction and leadership to
enable the NNL board carry out its functions of governing the league.
Sajo is a trained lawyer. He hails
from Adamawa State. He was once a member of the Security Committee of the
Nigeria Football Federation.
