Bale will be playing a part in Wales international fixtures
despite having not been involved in a Real Madrid game recently. He is integral
to his country cause as Wales boss, Ryan Giggs, reiterated that he has always
wanted his players playing. He will be expected to feature in Wales games when
they play Nations League fixtures next month against Finland and Bulgaria.
“I’ve always said ideally you want the players playing. You want
them playing regularly so when they come into camp, they are in that match
rhythm. You don’t always get that and it’s something I’ve become used to and
you have to manage it right. Gareth played every game in the qualifiers but
wasn’t playing regularly for his club. I’m used to dealing with that situation,”
Giggs said.
It remains to be seen what his future for Real Madrid looks like
as he is still under a contract till 2022.
