The Brit has shown his intentions to enforce a rematch with
Alexander Povertkin after he fell to defeat in the hands of the Russian last
weekend. He has vowed he will return for the rematch with more ferocity than
ever and has flown back to Portugal where he will begin an intense training.
“I’m good and secondly I just want to say thanks to everyone,
all the fans and all the support. It’s been amazing. I’ve never been this
excited for a fight before in my life,” Whyte told reporters.
Whyte has also stated that he’ll sharpen his technical skills
before the rematch with Povetkin but still insisted he won’t change his style
of approach that has brought him to light in the boxing world.
It is expected that the rematch would be fixed between November
and December of this year.
