Anthony Joshua will finally get his
shot to fight IBF mandatory challenger, Kubrat Pulev, on December 12 at the O2
Arena in London, the matchroom reporter Eddie Hearn revealed.
“Yes, December 12 at the O2 is the
place for AJ,” Hearn told Boxing Scene.
The fight was meant to take place in June at the new Tottenham Hotspur stadium
but it was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. But now, a new date and
venue has been announced.
John Wirt, co-promoter of Pulev has
also added that his team is happy as the fight appears to be back again with a
new date and new venue.
In the other news, the boxing
calendar is already taking shape as Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder trilogy fight
could reportedly face each other the following week on the 19th.
