Allan Marques has completed his
move to Goodison Park for an undisclosed fee. The 29-year old Brazilian
midfielder joined on a three-year contract.
Allan will now have the chance to
reunite with his former boss, Carlo Ancelotti whom he previously played for
while he was in charge at Napoli. Everton beat the likes of Atletico Madrid and
Borussia Dortmund to capture the skipper who spent five years in Naples.
“It is a club with a rich history
in the Premier League, has real ambition and then there is Professor Ancelotti.
He has done everything possible to bring me here. It is the size of the club
and the name of the coach which means you don’t think twice about coming to
Everton,” Allan told Evertontv.
The Brazilian started his football
career in Vasco da Gama in his home country before Udinese signed him back in
2012. He later made a move to Napoli in 2015, making over 200 appearances for
Napoli.
