facing a spell on the sidelines after he suffered a nasty injury in Kazier
Chiefs away defeat against Bidvest Wits in Johannesburg on Sunday.
Akpeyi collided with Bidvest’s
Mxolisi Macuphu while he was attempting to punch the ball away in the 43
minute. He immediately received medical attention on the pitch before he was
stretchered off later on. He was replaced by second choice goalkeeper, Bruce
Bvuma, in the first half.
Akpeyi has made 25 league
appearances for his team so far this season.
