Real Madrid decides to bring starlet, Martin Odegaard back

On the head coach’s request, Real Madrid is expected to bring back the on-loan Martin Odegaard from Real Sociedad ahead of the 2020/21 campaign.

 

Sociedad and Madrid agreed one year ago that Odegaard would join the Basque side on a two-year loan deal, but legality issues meant that they had to do it as a one plus one agreement, so there is always a chance that the loan deal could be cut short this summer.

 

Odegaard was one of Real Sociedad’s stars last season, however, Zidane’s request to have him in his squad for next season means that Odegaard will go back to the Spanish capital.

 

His arrival may mean the departure of some of the current midfielders in Zidane’s squad.
