Son’s solo stunner wins PL goal of the season

Heung Min Son beat off competition from the likes of Bruno Fernandes, Kevin de Bruyne and Harvey Barnes to win the Premier League Goal of the Season award for the 19/20 campaign.

 

The South Korean forward carried the ball from Spur’s third of the pitch, dashing 70 yards past four defenders en route while being chased by two more opposition players, before slotting past the goalkeeper to score.

 

Tottenham were already two goals up before Son struck the brilliant effort.

 

That goal beat competition from the likes of Harvey Barnes, Moussa Djenepo, Matej Vydra, Alireza Jahanbaksh, Matty Longstaff, Bruno Fernandes and Kevin de Bruyne, who were also nominated for the goal of the season award.
