The 35-year old Brazilian is set to become a Chelsea player
after having his medical in Milan. He is now waiting to sign the documents that
will validate him as a Chelsea player.
Joining on a one year contract, it is speculated that the
Brazilian could stay at the Bridge for a further season. Chelsea have been keen
to bolster their squad having been banned from signing players last summer.
Silva would become the sixth Chelsea signing of the summer
after adding Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech, Ben Chilwell, Xavier Mbuyamnba and
Malang Sarr to their ranks.
His former employers, PSG, confirmed Silva’s exit despite
their efforts to offer him a new deal. Silva won 20 trophies in his 8-year
stint with the French club including 7 Ligue 1 titles.
