The Scottish Football Association has announced charges against
eight Aberdeen players and a Celtic left back, Boli Bolingoli. While the
Aberdeen players breached coronavirus quarantine guidelines by visiting a bar
after a game, Bolingoli didn’t quarantine after his trip to Spain. They will
face two charges: for failing to comply with regulations and for bringing the
game into disrepute.
Aberdeen announced earlier that they have already fined eight of
their players who breached the coronavirus rules by going on a night out. Two of
the players have already tested positive for COVID-19 and the remaining six
were instructed to self-isolate for 2 weeks.
This has caused the postponement of three matches for Aberdeen
while two games have been postponed for Celtic.
The hearings have been set for August 28.
