Teacher Who Raped His Pastor’s 10 Years Old Daughter Has Been Sentenced To Life Imprisonment

 Omotayo  Adanlowo, A teacher in ondo state has been sentenced to life imprisonment by ondo state high court for raping  a 10-year old girl.

The judgement was passed by Justice Samuel Bola, who said the defendant wasn't able to prove his innocence in the rape allegations.

the sexual assault incident occured on August 24 2018. The teacher, Adanlowo who was said to be a member of the alleged rape victim's father's church,went to the victim's house at Iju in Akure North Local government area of Ondo State where he raped her and threatened the victim not to tell anyone else she will die.

After the incident, the victim could not walk and complained of stomach pains. she was taken to the hospital by her mother where it was found out that she had been raped.

According to a family source, after a serious interrogation,the victim opened up and said the accused had sexual intercourse with her.

The case was then reported at Iju-Itaogbolu divisional headquarters before being transferred to Ala area command,and a medical report revealed that there was an actual penetration into the 10-year old girl's private part.

Teacher Adanlawo,in his statement to the police claimed the young girl told him to lie on her after asking him for 50 naira and chinchin, but during cross examination he claimed he was at his home during the time of the incident.he also claimed to have a disease called hernia and as such wwas not medically fit to have had sexual intercourse with the victim.

The Judge, Justice Bola hoever said in his judgement  that the accused gave no medical report to prove his condition as well as any evidence and also the prosecution was able to prove there was penetration  in the rape allegation against Teacher Adanlawo.

Hence the Judge sentenced Adanlawo to life imprisonment in line with section 358 of the criminal laws of ondo state. Me
