Osimhen debunks claims saying he wants to emulate Maradona at Napoli

Nigerian international and Napoli's new signing, Victor Osimhen, has come out to debunk claims making rounds in media that he said he wants to emulate football legend, Diego Maradona, at his new club Napoli.

In his recent tweet, he said, "I never said such a thing, y'all copy paste journalist just like to fabricate lies, since the passing of my late father I haven't grant any interview whatsoever, stop this nonsense else na thunder go fire una."

Osimhen, 21, joined Napoli on a five-year deal that saw him break the record to become Nigeria's and Napoli's most expensive signing in history.

He is expected to officially join the team by September.
