Takefusa Kubo joins Villarreal on loan

Villarreal have announced the signing of Takefusa Kubo, who joins the club from Real Madrid on loan for the 2020/21 season.

The Japanese winger was on loan last campaign at Real Mallorca where he recorded four goals and five assists in 35 league appearances.

In a statement released by Villarreal that reads, “Villarreal and Real Madrid have reached an agreement for the loan of the Japanese midfielder Takefusa Kubo who will play for the Yellows for the 2020/21 season. Kubo is a young midfielder who has excellent ball control and stands out for his extraordinary ability to beat opponents, as well as his excellent reading of the game.”
