Kyrgios to continue calling out mistakes if defended

Controversial Australian tennis star, Nick Kyrgios, also known as the current bad boy of the sport, has vowed to keep calling out bad attitudes from fellow tennis stars after he called out Novak Djokovic over the incident that happened in Flushing Meadows.

“I’m just trying to hold people accountable for their actions. You can’t compare what someone does off the court to on the court. When I see some people making mistakes, I’m not going to bring it up, but if they defend it and continually make the same mistakes, especially in a global pandemic, I’m going to say something about it,” Kyrgios said.

“I’m not saying it just to bring some attention to myself, I’m genuinely trying to pull people in line who need to be pulled in to line. We have to work as a team otherwise it’s going to be ongoing,” he added.

Kyrgios had previously slammed Djokovic for organizing a tennis tour during the summer of which was heavily criticized because they didn’t observe the protocols of social distancing leading to many players in the tour testing positive for COVID-19.

The Australian is not a stranger to incidents too as he had been fined 32,900 USD in 2016 for unsportsmanlike behavior in the Shanghai Masters. He was still yet defaulted again in the same tournament in 2019 for swearing at a lines judge, kicking a bottle and hurling a chair into the court.
