Four time champion Serena Williams
has withdrawn from the Italian Open due to an injury she which had an impact on
the semi final game against Victoria Azarenka which she lost. The organizers of
the competition announced the news of her withdrawal.
The Italian Open originally
scheduled for May but was postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak would begin
on Monday.
For the men’s tournament, there
would be major as well as Dominic Thiem, Daniil Medvedev and Alexander Zverev
withdrew.
